Best Fonts for Graphical Abstracts

A researcher has asked me about the font for graphical abstract on my YouTube graphical abstract tutorial, so I recognized this is a topic you might need to know for making your scientific illustration. I will suggest three free fonts here that you can choose from.

These are the 3 fonts I usually use in my graphical abstracts, especially “Myriad Pro Light” for labelling the structures. Yes, they look almost identical.

Helvetic and Arial are the two fonts suggested in the Nature guidelines. You should use these two fonts for your graphical abstract for Nature. Different journals might have different guidelines for their font, so do check them before drawing your graphical abstract.

I will be posting twice a week here. You can enter your email in the box below so you can get a notification of the new blog.

I look forward to seeing you here every week!
